Stina Simonsson is principal investigator and group leader at Clinical Chemistry at Sahlgrenska University Hospital (VGR-SUH). Her research interests focus on molecular events in medicine, primarily reprogramming of cells. In recent years her main focus has been cartilage repair in relation to osteoarthritis (OA). She brings to RESTORE extensive experience in rejuvenation of cells into stem cells, as well as the know-how and the facilities for 3D bioprinting of cartilage and is responsible for 3D bioprinting microtissues. VGR-SUHis one of Sweden’s teaching hospitals with medical education and carries out cutting edge research, improving healthcare through strong innovation and clinical research in close and broad cooperation with academia, industry and patients.
