RESTORE project partner Prof. Simo Saarakkala, from University of Oulu, Finland, has been nominated as the Associate Editor of the Elsevier journal Osteoarthritis and Cartilage Open. Prof. Saarakkala will be one of the four new Associate Editors serving under the Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Henning Madry.
Related to this nomination, Prof. Madry visited University of Oulu on May 9, 2022, for meeting with Prof. Saarakkala and his research group. During his visit, he delivered a truly exciting and timely seminar presentation on translational aspects of articular cartilage repair and osteoarthritis, which are the fundamental relevance to RESTORE project.
Osteoarthritis and Cartilage Open is the official journal of the Osteoarthritis Research Society International (https://oarsi.org). The journal publishes findings from the basic, translational, and clinical sciences in all fields of research of relevance to osteoarthritis, cartilage, and intervertebral disc. Thus, the journal is particularly well-suited for publishing scientific results, e.g., from RESTORE project.
