Adj. Prof. Gabriela Lorite, Dr Lauriane Janssen and M.Sc. Hanna Kemppi from the University of Oulu represented RESTORE consortium on June 12th-14th at Scandinavian Society for Biomaterials 2019 conference in Kirkkonummi, Finland.
Scandinavian Society for Biomaterials (ScSB) organizes an annual conference in the Nordic and Baltic region for researchers and industrial partners working in biomaterials and related fields.
The broad range of biomaterial topics like material chemistry, synthesis, engineering, functionalization and characterization, as well as exploring their biological interactions and applications in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine brings together people from diverse fields. The conference theme of this year was Biomaterial applications: From the study of fundamental cellular behaviours through to regenerative therapies.
M.Sc. Hanna Kemppi received several visitors interested in the RESTORE project during the poster exhibition. RESTORE project was found to be fascinating and very ambitious. Researchers from universities and industry are looking forward to hearing about RESTORE outcomes and wished good luck to the consortium!
