Lorite (Microelectronics Research Unit) research contributes to the development of smart scaffolds, medical devices and biosensors towards more effective diagnostic methods, while Simo Saarakkala (Medical Imaging, Physics and Technologies Research Unit) has extensive experience in the methods development for clinical diagnostic of osteoarticular diseases.  The University of Oulu (UOULU) is an academic organization recognized by its high-quality and international research environment. UOULU team in RESTORE’s is working on development of stimuli-responsive scaffolds for cartilage repair by employing functional nanomaterials.
