Virpi Muhonen is the Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder and Board Member of Askel Healthcare Ltd, a company dedicated to novel solutions for cartilage regeneration and prevention of osteoarthritis. She is the co-inventor of their lead product COPLA® Scaffold, a medical device for cartilage regeneration. Askel Healthcare Ltd focuses on medical devices for cartilage tissue regeneration, and will supports other partners in RESTORE  in the combination of nanomaterials into their COPLA® Scaffold. Bringing  their expertise on large animal models for cartilage repair to the planning and executing of animal studies in the project, they will bring COPLA® closer to human use.
